Biography: Patents

Richard A Cederoth is a partner in Sidley's Chicago office. He focuses his practice on litigated patent matters in the software, computer and semiconductor fields, and related counselling. He has represented Fortune 50 corporations for over 25 years in a wide variety of complex matters, including International Trade Commission investigations, multiple-defendant patent cases, and multi-district patent infringement proceedings. His practice focuses on software, computer, telecommunications and semiconductor patent litigation in jurisdictions across the country. He also has served as adjunct professor on Patent and Copyright Law at Northwestern University School of Law and lectured on patent litigation practice and intellectual property rights.

He is a member of the intellectual property section of American Bar Association, the American Intellectual Property Law Association and the Bradley University Electrical Engineering Alumni advisory board.

Mr Cederoth received his JD from the University of Illinois College of Law. He received his BS in Electrical Engineering from Bradley University (magna cum laude, Phi Kappa Phi, Etta Kappa Nu, Tau Beta Pi). He is admitted in Illinois.
