Biography: Patents

Richard A Cederoth, a partner in Sidley's Chicago office, focuses his practice on patent and trade secret matters involving software, computers, computer-based video games and semiconductors in federal court and in arbitrations. He also has experience in patent disputes before the International Trade Commission and in complex subject matter multi-district proceedings. Mr Cederoth is admitted in several federal courts and registered to practice before the US Patent and Trademark Office. He has lectured about patent protection for computer software and intellectual property from the practicing engineer's perspective.

Mr Cederoth is a graduate of the University of Illinois College of Law and received a BS in Electrical Engineering from Bradley University. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the American Intellectual Property Law Association and other professional organisations.
