Biography: Competition

Thomas F Ryan, a partner serves on Sidley's executive, finance and practice development committees, and heads the firm's commercial, competition, and securities litigation group. He has served as a member of the advisory committee on Circuit Rules for the Seventh Federal Circuit Court of Appeals and as president of the Seventh Circuit Bar Association. He is a member of the American Law Institute and is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers.

Mr Ryan focuses his practice on antitrust and business counselling, arbitration and alternative dispute resolution, and trials before state and federal courts. The subjects of the litigation he engages in cover many areas including antitrust, class actions, commercial, environmental and securities. His practice is national in scope. He also has often been retained to perform confidential independent investigations of alleged wrongdoing within corporations.
