Mark Spradling is a partner in the business and international section of Vinson & Elkins. He is the head of the firm's structured finance practice group and a member of the project finance and development practice group.

Mr Spradling's international business practice emphasises finance and project development. He has had extensive experience in a broad array of commercial transactions, including structured, project and commercial finance; cash flow monetisations; acquisition, sale, construction, development, management and leasing of power plants, pipelines, chemical facilities and commercial real property; partnership and corporate formations; loan syndications; loan restructurings; and workouts. His clients include project developers, commercial banks, hedge funds, insurance companies, energy companies, and individuals. Mr Spradling has been recognised by The Best Lawyers in America in international trade and finance law; and Texas Monthly's 'Texas Super Lawyer' in banking.

Mr Spradling graduated from Dartmouth College AB summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa in 1977; and from Stanford Law School, JD, Order of the Coif in 1980. He was an associate editor of the Stanford Law Review.
