Biography: Commercial Arbitration
Dana H Freyer heads Skadden's arbitration and alternative dispute resolution practices and is a member of the firm's international arbitration group. Ms Freyer represents US and foreign parties, as well as sovereign entities, in all types of US and international commercial arbitration, including international arbitrations under the UNCITRAL, ICC, ICSID, AAA International, Stockholm Chamber of Commerce and other arbitration rules, and in related litigation. She also represents clients in mediations and other ADR proceedings and serves as an arbitrator. Ms Freyer advises clients on structuring dispute resolution alternatives to litigation and drafting dispute resolution contract clauses.
Ms Freyer also heads the firm's corporate compliance programme practice. She advises clients on the development and implementation of ethics, compliance and corporate governance programmes, including management structures and control systems, to prevent and detect violations of law and the management of claims, litigation and other legal risks. Ms Freyer has worked with more than 250 companies in diverse industries on the design and implementation of their ethics and compliance programmes.
She has been repeatedly selected for inclusion in

Chambers USA: America's Leading Business Lawyers, and she is also listed in
International Who's Who of Commercial Arbitrators. She has been named by Euromoney as one of the world's leading experts in commercial arbitration, as one of the top 50 women litigators in America by

Global Counsel Dispute Resolution Handbook. She is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and the College of Commercial Arbitrators. Ms Freyer graduated from Columbia University Law School.
