Raoul D Kennedy handles civil litigation at both the trial and appellate level. He has been lead counsel in more than 50 jury and 25 non-jury trials, as well as more than 50 appeals, in a diverse range of subjects including: antitrust, class actions, commercial litigation, consumer privacy, defamation, ERISA, fraudulent transfers, insurance (coverage, regulatory and 'bad faith'), legal malpractice, mass torts, malicious prosecution, patent infringement, personal injury, products liability, environmental contamination, real estate, RICO, toxic torts, trade secrets, unfair competition, workplace discrimination and wrongful discharge.Since 1987, Mr Kennedy has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America in both the commercial litigation and personal injury defence sections. He was also selected as the State Bar of California's 'trial lawyer of the year' and inducted into the State Bar litigation section's 'trial lawyer hall of fame'.
Mr Kennedy has long been active in continuing legal education and has lectured at more than 250 programmes on behalf of a variety of sponsoring organisations, including the California Judges' Association, the Practising Law Institute, the American Bar Association, California Continuing Education of the Bar and the Rutter Group.
