After graduating from the Milan Catholic University (full honours), Mr Corno qualified as avvocato (Italy, 1992) and as solicitor (England and Wales, 2004).
An international associate at Kingston University, London, Centre for Insolvency Law & Policy, member of INSOL Europe Academic Desk and person in charge for conferences on legal matters at Cis Centro Studi d'Impresa, Giorgio Corno frequently lectures both at national and international conferences, mainly on Italian and EU regulations on corporate insolvency and restructuring. His articles are regularly published on national and international insolvency law reviews.
A member of the Monza Bar, Mr Corno is a member, among others, of INSOL Europe (London), the International Insolvency Institute (New York) and the ILA (Insolvency Lawyers Association, London).
After practicing law at Prof Mario Casella law firm, a well known Italian law firm, in 1994 Giorgio Corno established Studio Corno Avvocati, a boutique law firm which he presently heads. Studio Corno operates jointly with Studio Corno, a consulting and accounting firm established in 1955.
