Biography: Private funds

Ulf Söderholm is head of Andulf Advokat AB, the leading private equity firm in the Nordic area and the only Nordic law firm dedicated exclusively to private equity. The firm focuses on advice to clients in establishing on and offshore funds with management in the Nordic region and elsewhere; acquiring and disposing portfolio companies; and making investments in private equity funds around the world.

The law firm comprises the leading private equity group in the Nordic region and its founding members have worked together for more than two decades creating a strong and seasoned private equity team. The members have participated in the establishment of a majority of the private equity funds in the Nordic region and a large number of funds elsewhere and have been the leading firm in the Nordic area for two decades.

Mr Söderholm was born in 1955. He holds a Masters degree in law and an MBA from the University of Stockholm. Mr Söderholm is involved in EVCA (European Private Equity and Venture Capital Association) and is the past chairman of their tax and legal committee (2006-2008), where he has been a member for over a decade.

Mr Söderholm was appointed as an expert to the European Commission Expert Group on alternative investment funds advising in private equity, 2006, and as an expert to the European Commission Expert Group on removing tax obstacles to cross-border venture capital, permanent establishment, 2007-2010.

Mr Söderholm was a partner at Vinge firm 1991 to 1999 and at Mannheimer Swartling until 2003; he founded the private equity groups at both law firms with the same team that works at Andulf today. Prior to his work at Vinge he was a co-founder of Göran Grosskopf Tax Consultants.
