Biography: Franchise

Michael D Joblove leads Genovese Joblove & Battista PA's franchise litigation practice, which focuses on franchise, real estate, employment and securities litigation. The firm provides national franchise counsel to Burger King Corporation and handles their litigation with respect to franchisees throughout the US. He also has represented numerous other franchisors, including Jamba Juice Company, TGI Friday's, Smoothie King, Bennigan's, Pearle Vision Inc, Denny's Inc, Assist-2-Sell and Pollo Campero.

Mr Joblove is 'AV' rated by Martindale-Hubbell and is a Fellow in the Trial Lawyer Honorary Society of the Litigation Counsel of America. He is listed in Best Lawyers in America and has been named the Best Lawyers' 2011 Miami Franchise Lawyer of the Year. He has been ranked as one of the country's leading franchise attorneys by Chambers & Partners USA, named among Florida's top attorneys by Florida Trend magazine and South Florida Legal Guide, recognised by Franchise Times magazine as a 'Legal Elite,' and as a 'Super Lawyer' by Florida Super Lawyers publication.

Mr Joblove is a lecturer before the American Bar Association (ABA) and the International Franchise Association (IFA), a member of the board of governors of the ABA's Forum of Franchising, a member of the advisory board of the IFA Supplier Forum and served as a commissioner on the Florida Commission on Ethics. He also co-authored the Annual Franchise and Distribution Law Developments book, published by the ABA, and has written articles on franchise law for numerous publications.

Mr Joblove is a member of the Florida Bar. He received his JD degree from the University of Florida and earned a BA degree from George Washington University.
