Biography: Corporate Tax

Richard Engl is a German tax consultant and joined P+P Pöllath + Partners in 2007. He has practised tax law since 1976, was a partner in a leading German tax and law firm from 1982 to 1995, and was then self-employed. He is well recognised by independent rankings as one of Germany's leading senior tax advisers.

He focuses on advising multinationals in corporate tax law, pre- and post-acquisition restructuring, international cross-border transactions (both in and outbound, including transfer pricing issues and solving tax audit disputes) and reorganisations. His publications include articles on taxation, and he is the author and editor of special books dealing with the legal and tax aspects of the reorganisation of groups of companies. He studied at the University of Regensburg and Penn State University.
