Starting her career as inhouse counsel with Microsoft (Munich), she built up Microsoft's copyright enforcement program as of 1993 and continued this work as outside counsel until 2007. During this time, Dr Scheja supported the development of legal and marketing strategies in order to fight piracy and successfully handled a number of landmark cases. Before joining Heymann & Partners in 2007, Dr Scheja was a partner with Clifford Chance, Graf von Westphalen, Willkie Farr Gallagher and FPS Fritze Paule Seelig.
Dr Scheja is a member of the DGRI (German Association for Computer Law), GRUR (German Association on IP Law) and a member of LES.
