Biography: Banking
Dr Patrick Hünerwadel is an expert in structured and lease finance, asset securitisation and derivatives. He leads the banking and finance practice group of Lenz & Staehelin in Zurich. He is the author of various netting/collateral opinions for the finance industry, its associations and regulators. Patrick Hünerwadel's practice focuses on structured debt finance, asset backed finance, cross-border lease finance, derivatives, capital markets, regulatory and general banking. He is admitted as an expert to the SIX Swiss Exchange for listing purposes. Patrick Hünerwadel is a lecturer on corporate law and contracts at the University of St Gallen and is co-chairman of the banking law practice group of the Zurich Bar.Patrick Hünerwadel graduated from the University of St Gallen in 1984 and was admitted to the Bar in 1987. In 1988/1989 he studied international banking at the Boston University, Morin Center for Banking Law. He has a doctorate (1989) from the University of St Gallen. Patrick Hünerwadel has been a partner at Lenz & Staehelin since 1994. He speaks German, English and French.
