Among other awards, Dr Wan was voted one of 'Asia's Leading Lawyers' by Asia Law & Practice (2002, 2004-2011). TransAsia was also voted China's "Employment Law Firm of the Year" (2010, 2011) by Chambers & Partners and "PRC Team of the Year 2011 for Labor & Employment" by China Law & Practice.
Dr Wan is the director of the China Labor Law Association, and the only Hong Kong director of the China Social Security Law Research Association. She is an adjunct professor of law at Peking University and the University of Northeast Politics and Law.
Her publications include: "The Impact of China's New Employment Contract Law" (Asialaw, Euromoney Jan 2008), "Handling Employment and Labour Disputes in China" (Kluwer Law Intl, 2007); and China's Labour & Social Security Law Essential Facts Explained (endorsed by the PRC labour ministry from 1998 to 2001). Most recently, the Legislative Affairs Commission of the National People's Congress entrusted TransAsia to produce the official English version of its Interpretation of the Employment Contract Law, the definitive and authoritative guide to the employment contract law. Dr Wan was the managing editor of this publication (TransAsia, 2010) and also helped draft the Labor Supervision Regulations and Employment Contract Law.
