Biography: Regulatory Communications

Alexandre Verheyden practises in the competition and government regulation areas. His practice includes day-to-day competition counselling as well as the handling of cartel, merger, and state aid cases in various fields such as the automotive, technology, telecommunications, banking, pharmaceutical, oil and gas, and petrochemical industries. He also has litigated competition cases before the European courts as well as the national courts of various member states.

Alexandre has particular experience involving regulated industries such as media, telecommunications and utilities. In the field of media and telecommunications, he has both litigation and transactional experience, including dealing with technical issues such as frequencies, rights of way and number portability at the international, EU, and national levels.

Alexandre is vice chair of the communications committee of the International Bar Association. He is a regular speaker at conferences and has written several articles on issues of competition law in the telecommunications sector.
