Mrs Vander Schueren concentrates her practice on EU trade law and WTO as well as WCO issues (including customs provisions).
She has handled numerous anti-dumping and anti-subsidy investigations under EU law for a variety of products and industries. She has also advised on the interpretation and implementation of anti-dumping/anti-subsidy law in third countries. She counsels clients on other EU trade law provisions, including the Trade Barrier Regulation, safeguard provisions and the EU's export control and sanction provisions. The EU's bilateral trade agreements are equally within her prime field of expertise.
Regarding customs law, she is regularly involved in matters including origin, tariff classification, valuation, inward and outward processing, tariff quotas and suspensions and the General System of Preference.
She further deals with WTO matters including agriculture, services, rules of origin, valuation, technical barriers to trade, anti-dumping, anti-subsidy, GATT 1994 etc, and is involved in WTO dispute settlement.
Mrs Vander Schueren has published numerous articles on trade law.
