Biography: Patents
Dario Tanziani is firm chairman of Adams & Adams of Pretoria, Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, Mozambique (ARIPO), Angola, Tanzania, Burundi and OAPI. Dario takes a particular interest in the management and leadership of the firm, client relationships and practice development.Adams & Adams will be 105 years old this year. The firm recently merged the IP division of Bowman Gilfillan into its own practice and is now the largest and leading intellectual property practice in the southern hemisphere. The firm received 40 national and international awards during 2011.
The firm offers a full range of services in the intellectual property field and also has a fully fledged commercial, property and litigation section. Dario has had extensive experience in patent litigation in the pharmaceutical and chemical fields.
He has represented and advised a large variety of well known multinational companies in the South African phase of global patent litigious matters. Dario has also published extensively in professional periodicals and in four different books.
Dario joined Adams & Adams in January 1982, qualified as a patent agent in1986, was admitted as an attorney and patent attorney in 1987 and became a partner at Adams & Adams in 1989.
