Kevin Sullivan is a partner in King & Spalding's Washington, DC office. His practice includes a wide variety of criminal and civil litigation. He has extensive experience in antitrust, white-collar defence work and civil litigation. Mr Sullivan is recognised as a leading antitrust lawyer by Chambers and as one of the nation's top 10 antitrust lawyers in the United States Lawyer Rankings for 2006 and 2007 ("innovative and creative"). Mr Sullivan has also been nominated by his peers as one of the world's leading competition lawyers.

Presently, Mr Sullivan represents a variety of clients involved in federal antitrust criminal investigations and civil cases. Mr Sullivan defends and prosecutes antitrust civil cases from initiation through trial and appeal. In addition, Mr Sullivan has extensive experience in international antitrust matters and has coordinated merger approvals and responses to foreign government antitrust investigations in Europe; before the European Commission and its member states; and in Canada, Japan, and South Korea.

Recent examples of matters handled include obtaining dismissal for the client in Re Insurance Brokers Antitrust Litigation; representing a financial services company in an antitrust criminal investigation in municipal derivatives business; defending an air cargo company in an international price-fixing investigation both in the United States and Europe; representing major pharmaceutical company in defence of antitrust claims arising out of settlement of Plavix patent litigation; obtained leniency and leniency plus for clients in antitrust investigations; successful patent misuse defence of cable television set top box manufacturer in patent infringement case; and lead trial counsel in antitrust case involving exclusive supply agreements.
