Biography: Corporate Tax

Mr Rubin, the chairman of Gornitzky & Co, is Israel's top tax lawyer and one of the country's leading commercial lawyers.

Mr Rubin's tax practice includes advising some of Israel's largest commercial groups in their most intricate and high-profile tax cases and representing clients in a variety of tax cases before the Israeli courts (including the Israeli Supreme Court) and tax authorities.

Mr Rubin was a member of the national advisory committee on reform of the Israeli Court System (appointed by the minister of justice and the president of the Israeli Supreme Court) and of the national committee on reform of taxation in 2002 (appointed by the minister of finance). Additionally, he served as chairman of the Israel Bar Association's taxation committee from 1985 to 1999. Throughout the years, Mr Rubin has lectured in Tel Aviv University's Faculty of Law and School of Business Administration and in the Israel Bar Association's continuing legal education for judges and attorneys, as well as in legal, accounting and business conferences.

Since 2002, Mr Rubin has been repeatedly named as one of the 100 most influential people in the Israeli economy and he is considered by the Israeli economic press to be a 'key position' holder and as one of the people who will 'open any door for you'. He has been recognised by all leading international and domestic legal guides as one of Israel's top lawyers in the fields of tax, banking & finance, corporate and M&A, dispute resolution, restructuring and insolvencies, private clients and capital markets.
