Biography: Environment

Federico Ruanova-Guinea is a partner in the law firm of Baker & McKenzie. He is the coordinator of the firm's environmental practice group in Mexico and also a member of their global environmental and global climate change practice groups. He received his law degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Baja California in 1987. Mr Ruanova is a member of the National Corporate Attorneys Association and is licensed to practise law throughout Mexico.

Mr Ruanova specialises in environmental impact and risk permitting, prevention and control of air, water and soil pollution, hazardous substance handling and disposal, climate change, administrative litigation and occupational health and safety. He has considerable experience advising clients in the industrial, infrastructure, energy and resort sectors.
