Biography: Corporate Governance

Simon Robinson qualified in 1980 and has been a partner at Slaughter and May since 1989. He has undertaken a broad range of corporate and commercial work, including private and public acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate reconstructions, public equity offerings and financings.

His clients include leading banks, asset management companies, investment trusts and industrial and commercial companies, particularly in the health services, retail, marine electronics, transport and media sectors. Geographically, he has experience in the Far East, Eastern and Western Europe and North America. Consideration of corporate governance principles arises naturally in the course of his work with almost all his clients.

Earlier in his career, he contributed to a number of publications on mortgage securitisation and, more recently, was the author of the UK chapter for the Getting the Deal Through - Mergers and Acquisitions and Getting the Deal Through - Corporate Governance books between 2000 and 2007.
