David T Pritikin is a partner in the Chicago office, chairs the firm's national intellectual property practice and is a member of the firm's executive committee. He has an active practice concentrated in the field of intellectual property. Mr Pritikin has served as lead counsel in many high-profile patent cases, including more than a dozen Hatch-Waxman cases involving important pharmaceutical products. He has also represented clients in major patent cases involving telecommunications, handsets, software and medical devices. His experience includes jury and bench trials in the federal courts as well as trials in the International Trade Commission and arguments before the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

Mr Pritikin is highly recommended in the Chambers USA list of leading intellectual property lawyers and in PLC Cross-border Life Sciences Handbook. In addition, Best Lawyers in America recognised Mr Pritikin as a peer-selected leader in the practice area of intellectual property law in the 2011 and 2012 editions. He is also a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers.

Mr Pritikin received his JD (magna cum laude) from Harvard Law School in 1974 and his AB (summa cum laude) from Cornell University in 1971. He is admitted to the Illinois Bar.
