Tim specialises in multijurisdictional litigation, particularly in the patents field where he has experience in coordinating litigation taking place simultaneously across Europe, North America and beyond. Tim has an MA in natural sciences from Cambridge University. He also advises clients on health care regulatory issues.
 He is a solicitor advocate and has represented clients as an advocate in the UK and European Patent Offices, the English High Court, Court of Appeal, House of Lords and the European Court of Justice. Prior to founding Powell Gilbert LLP Tim was a partner for 10 years at Bristows.
 Tim is a member of AIPPI and EPLAW. He lectures widely on aspects of IP law and is a member of the intellectual property advisory committee of the UK Bioindustry Association.
