Biography: Commercial Litigation

Daniel Posse is a founding partner of Posse, Herrera & Ruiz, and leads the firm's litigation and ADR practice group.

Over more than 25 years, he has litigated or supervised more than 3,000 lawsuits, acting for plaintiffs and for defendants. His clients have included Colombia's leading financial institutions, whom he has advised regarding debt restructuring and refinancing, compulsory liquidations and, more recently, corporate restructuring.

Since 2000, Daniel has participated in international and local arbitrations, and has also acted as arbitrator. He is a registered arbitrator at the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce Arbitration Centre, at Asomagister and at the arbitration center of the Colombian Superintendence of Corporations.

He obtained his JD at Universidad Javeriana. His native language is Spanish and he is fluent in English.
