Biography: Construction

Peter Pether is a partner in the Sydney office of Mallesons Stephen Jaques, where he specialises in construction and engineering projects. He has extensive litigation, arbitration and alternative dispute resolution experience in the construction, engineering, resources and infrastructure project sectors. Peter also works in the negotiation, documentation and administration of major construction and engineering projects.

Peter works in all of the Australian states and territories. He has also worked extensively in the resolution of disputes outside Australia, including major project disputes in England.

Peter works for most of the major Australian constructors and for a variety of major developers and infrastructure providers and operators. Peter has successfully resolved disputes about road, rail, energy, mining, airport, port, pipeline, power, telecommunications, commercial, industrial and residential projects.

He is very experienced in ADR techniques and strategies, as well as mainstream litigation, arbitration and adjudication. He is assisted by a well-resourced team of experienced colleagues.
