Prof Dr Christian Osterrieth is a senior founding partner of Reimann Osterrieth Köhler Haft, a law firm specialised in litigation, arbitration and counselling exclusively in the field of intellectual property, with an extensive litigation practice at all relevant national courts, the German and the European Patent Office as well as the European Court of Justice.

Christian Osterrieth represents major and global clients from many technology-driven industries, including electronics, computer hardware and software, medical devices and pharmaceuticals as well as the consumer products industry. A particular focus of his work is the development and implementation of litigation strategies in patent matters. Having specialised in patent law for more than 20 years, Christian Osterrieth has participated in a significant number of landmark cases before the German Federal Supreme Court.

He is author and co-author of various books and articles on intellectual property law and is a frequent speaker at international conferences on patent law and licensing. Christian Osterrieth is highly experienced in the training of lawyers specialising in intellectual property law. He is a member of many professional organisations including AIPPI, APRAM, ATRIP, GRUR, IPO, LES, TIPLO and VPP.

From 2002 until 2004 he was president of LES Licensing Executives Society, Germany. Christian Osterrieth is honorary professor for patent law at the University of Konstanz and lecturer at the University of Düsseldorf.
