Norbert is the co-head of the firm's global telecommunications, media and technology sector group, specialising in IT and telecoms outsourcing, contractual and regulatory matters of telecommunications and data protection. He advises regularly on the commercial aspects of acquisitions and joint ventures in the sector.
Norbert frequently represents national and international telecom operators as well as media and IT companies in administrative and constitutional law procedures in front of regulatory authorities, German and EU courts and the EU Commission.
Norbert read law at the University of Bonn and spent some time at the University of Surrey, UK. Subsequently, Norbert was employed as a foreign associate by Bryan Cave LLP, known as Powell Goldstein LLP at the time, in Atlanta, working in their corporate technology practice.
He has published and spoken widely on the subject of IT and telecommunications and is currently a lecturing professor for Communications Law at the University of Cologne.
Norbert is ranked as a leading telecoms lawyer in Juve and Chambers.
