Ms Neely is currently involved in a broad variety of engagements, including representation of the creditors' committee in the chapter 11 case for Franchise Pictures LLC and its affiliates; Daewoo Motor Co Ltd and its Korean reorganisation receiver in litigation with its former US distributor subsidiary, Daewoo Motor America Inc, a reorganised debtor; Cameron Capital Corporation in connection with its purchase of substantially all of the assets of PureBeauty Inc and PureSalons Inc, in their chapter 11 cases; The CIT Group/Commercial Services Inc in litigation arising out of the insolvency of Beach Patrol Inc; AT&T in litigation with Pac-West Telecomm Inc, currently in chapter 11; and the Flintkote Co in its asbestos-related chapter 11 case.
Ms Neely writes and teaches extensively. Among other engagements, she is on the faculty of the advanced programme of the NYU Law School's workshop on bankruptcy and business reorganisation, and is co-chair of the ALI-ABA advanced chapter 11 programme. She also recently taught at the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges, the Southeast Bankruptcy Law Institute and the ABA section of litigation annual meeting.
Ms Neely regularly works with Congress regarding bankruptcy legislation in her capacity as co-chair of the committee on legislation of the national bankruptcy conference, and serves on the NBC's executive committee. She is also a vice president of the American College of Bankruptcy and co-chair of its educational programmes committee.
