Mr Moss has represented numerous corporations in defending class action lawsuits. Some of his notable class action experience includes co-lead counsel in smoking and health cases in Florida. He has also defended various class action claims against such clients as Home Depot, American Home Products (diet drug litigation) and various members of the insurance industry and the health-care industry.
Mr Moss has tried product liability cases for clients such as DuPont, Westinghouse Corporation, American Motors, Texaco, Otis Elevator, United Technologies, Brown & Williamson Tobacco Company, Hartford Insurance Company, and The Boeing Company (in the Aero Peru crash). He served as co-lead defence counsel in the DuPont Plaza fire case in San Juan, Puerto Rico; represented Boeing Company in numerous crash disasters; represented Texaco in an "environment spill" - toxic tort case; and represented Brown & Williamson Tobacco Company in two major class action trials.
Mr Moss has also represented numerous architectural and construction firms in construction-related litigation, including his representation of Westinghouse in litigation arising from construction of the Miami Metrorail System.
Mr Moss is admitted to practise before the state and federal courts of Florida; before the US Court of Appeals for the First, Fifth and Eleventh Circuits; and before the Supreme Court of the United States.
