Biography: Product Liability

Ed Moss joined SHB following a merger with the Anderson, Moss firm of which he was a founding partner. He focuses his practice on the handling and trial of product liability matters, as well as complex commercial cases and securities litigation and defence of class actions.

Mr Moss is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, the International Society of Barristers and the American Bar Association.

Mr Moss tried product liability cases for clients such as DuPont, Westinghouse Corporation, American Motors, Texaco, Otis Elevator, United Technologies, Brown & Williamson Tobacco Company, Hartford Insurance Company and the Boeing Company.

Mr Moss served as co-lead defence counsel in the DuPont Plaza fire case in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Other representations include: Boeing Company in numerous air crash disasters; Texaco in environment spill toxic tort cases and toxic exposure to formaldehyde cases; and Brown & Williamson Tobacco Company in two major class action trials.

Mr Moss represented Westinghouse in litigation arising from construction of the Miami Metrorail System and represented numerous architectural and construction firms in construction-related litigation. He has represented numerous clients in various types of class action lawsuits, including securities and product cases.

Mr Moss is admitted to practise before the state and federal courts of Florida, the first, fifth and eleventh circuit Courts of Appeal and the Supreme Court of the United States.
