Biography: Product Liability

Luiz G Migliora is the chair of the firm's product liability group and has in the past ten years been involved in complex individual and collective product liability cases representing different clients. Luiz Migliora is the lead trial lawyer representing Philip Morris in tobacco litigation in Brazil and has not thus far received any plaintiff verdict in the cases tried.

Luiz G Migliora has vast teaching experience: professor of Labour Law in the postgraduate programme at IBMEC (2000/2003); professor of Labour Law and Civil Liability in the postgraduate programme at the Law School of Fundação Getúlio Vargas (2003/2004); coordinator of the postgraduate course of the Law School of Fundação Getúlio Vargas (2004); coordinator of the "Lawyering" programme (2004/2005) and professor of Labour Law in the postgraduate course (2004/2008) and graduation course (2007/2008) of the Law School of Fundação Getúlio Vargas.

He is the co-author of Administração do Risco Trabalhista (Management of Employment Risks), Lumen Juris (2003) and author and co-author of various articles published in reputable law review magazines, all dealing with product liability and labour law and has spoken in national and international seminars and symposiums in Brazil and abroad.

Luiz G Migliora received his JD degree in 1988 from the Law School of the Rio de Janeiro State University.
