Biography: Corporate Tax

Mr Magee focuses on tax controversy and international tax issues, including transfer pricing. He has 30 years of experience in all aspects of income tax planning, Internal Revenue Service administrative proceedings and tax litigation. Mr Magee has tried cases in the US Tax Court, the US Court of Federal Claims, the US district courts and argued in appeal in the US Court of Appeals.

Mr Magee speaks extensively in a variety of tax forums, and as an adjunct professor in Georgetown Law Center's graduate tax programme, where he teaches 'International Transfer Pricing: Theory versus Practice'. Mr Magee received an LLM in taxation from the Georgetown University Law Center in 1977 and a JD from the University of Washington School of Law in 1972, where he served on the Law Review and received the Order of the Coif distinction. He received a BA from Pomona College in 1966.

Mr Magee has been named one of the leading practitioners in the field of taxation by Chambers Global - The World's Leading Lawyers for Business since 2001 and by Chambers USA - America's Leading Lawyers for Business since 2002. He has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America for the past 10 years.
