Biography: Real Estate

Bram Linnartz MRICS is a partner in Loyens & Loeff's Benelux property department, which has been continuously ranked as the leading law practice in the commercial property area.

He was admitted to the Amsterdam Bar in 1994 and has specialised in commercial property work with a particular emphasis on corporate real estate, real estate M&A, development, joint ventures and REITs.

Bram was educated at the University of Amsterdam (Dutch law), University of Leyden (building and construction law) and had postgraduate training at the Grotius Academy of the University of Nijmegen (corporate law) and the Amsterdam School of Real Estate (MBA in Property Investments Studies). He obtained a postgraduate degree in English law at the University of Kent.

The high-profile transactions in which Bram has taken a leading role include the largest direct and indirect transactions in the Netherlands, such as the sale and leaseback of the Vendex portfolio in 2005 and the sale of the MPC portfolio in 2006. His clients include investors such as AIG, Archstone, CB Richard Ellis, Cerberus, Lehman Brothers, Morgan Stanley, the British Land Company, UBS and Fortis and corporate users such as Deloitte, Philips, Nike and Heinz.

Bram is frequent speaker on topics involving commercial real estate and is a lecturer at the University of Amsterdam. He has written numerous articles appearing in various real estate publications and has been ranked in series of publications such as Legal 500, Chambers and Property NL as a "leading lawyer" in his area.

He is a member of the Amsterdam School of Real Estate Alumni Association and the Royal Institute of Charted Surveyors (RICS).
