Biography: Competition

Inga Korpinen is specialist counsel at Roschier. She is experienced in EU law and competition law. She regularly advises foreign and domestic companies on competition law matters, dealing with cartel, dominance and merger cases and public procurement issues. She also advises clients in matters relating to EU law. Ms Korpinen has written extensively on Finnish and EU competition law. In addition, she frequently gives lectures at seminars on competition law.

Prior to joining Roschier Holmberg in 2002, Ms Korpinen was a partner at Waselius & Wist (2000-2002); consultative counsellor and adviser to the minister at the Ministry of Justice (1997-1999); associate lawyer at Roschier-Holmberg & Waselius Attorneys Ltd, Helsinki (1993-1997); delegate with a speciality in EC law at the Finnish Chamber of Commerce's office in Brussels (1990-1992); deputy head of the legal department of the Central Chambers of Commerce, Helsinki (1988-1990); referendary in industrial and intellectual property rights cases at Helsinki Court of Appeals (1986-1988); visiting lawyer at Arent Fox Kintner Plotkin & Kahn, Washington DC (1983); and referendary at Turku Court of Appeals (1980-1982).

Ms Korpinen received her LLM from the University of Helsinki in 1975 and participated in the postgraduate programme at Georgetown University Law School, Washington DC, in 1985. She trained at the Bench in 1977.

Ms Korpinen speaks Finnish, Swedish and English.
