Geoffrey Kittredge, a partner in Debevoise & Plimpton LLP's London office, focuses his practice on private equity and investment fund formation. Labelled a "private-equity ace" by Legal Week, he is also ranked as a leading individual in Chambers UK 2008, listed in the PLC Which Lawyer? Yearbook 2007 and in Legal Media Group's 2006 Guide to the World's Leading Private Equity Lawyers.

Mr Kittredge represents a broad range of international private equity and other private investment funds and their sponsors, including leveraged buy out, mezzanine, real estate and secondaries funds, as well as funds of funds.

Recent matters on which Mr Kittredge has advised include Doughty Hanson's establishment of a €3 billion buy out fund; Baring Vostok's establishment of a $1.5 billion Russian private-equity fund; Exponent Private Equity's establishment of an ￂﾣ800 million UK buy out fund; Deutsche Bank's establishment of a $775 million secondaries fund; SUN-Apollo's establishment of a $650 million India real-estate fund; and Park Square's establishment of Europe's largest credit opportunities fund. Other clients include Alfa Capital Partners, Capital Dynamics, Innova Capital, and Oaktree Capital Management.

Mr Kittredge has been based in Europe since 1999 and in London since 2002, where he is co-chair of Debevoise's European private-equity funds group.

Mr Kittredge received his BA in 1984 from the University of Virginia in political philosophy and English literature, his MBA in 1992 from Columbia University in finance and business economics and his JD in 1996 from New York University where he was an editor of the Law Review. He was admitted to the New York bar in 1997.
