Jae-Hoon Kim is a partner and head of the intellectual property practice group at Lee & Ko, with 23 years of experience. His primary practice areas are intellectual property and unfair competition. He has represented major companies in pharmaceutical, chemical, mechanical, electrical, telecommunications and computer software industries, including P&G, Exxon Mobil, GE Water & Process Technology, Jack Daniel's, Seiko Epson and Microsoft. He has also been involved in franchising matters such as Hilton, Intercontinental Hotel, TGI Friday's, Prada, Giordano, McDonald's, and Gloria Jean's Coffees.

He was admitted to the Korean Bar and the New York Bar. He received an LLB from the College of Law, Seoul National University, in 1980; and an LLM from Cornell Law School in 1992.

Jae-Hoon Kim also worked as a foreign associate at Morgan Lewis & Bockius (in Los Angeles) in 1992 and at Morrison & Foerster (in New York) in 1993. He has been a lecturer at the Judicial Research and Training Institute, and at the International Intellectual Property Training Institute since 1993.

His publications include "Evidence Gathering Mechanisms in Patent Infringement Actions in Korea" - AIPLA (AIPLA; Oct 19-21, 2006); and "Legislation and Regulation Relevant to Franchises in Korea" - IFA 2003.
