Biography: Aviation

Rory Kelleher is a partner resident in Sidley's New York office. His practice focuses on finance matters including aircraft finance, equipment leasing and structured finance. He has over 30 years of experience in the equipment-financing field. Mr Kelleher has represented major manufacturers of aircraft, aircraft engines and rail transportation products, and financiers and lessors in both domestic and international finance transactions, single investor, leveraged and cross-border lease transactions, other structured financings and securitisations.

Mr Kelleher has extensive experience in airline bankruptcies, foreclosures, workouts and restructurings, including with respect to Delta, Northwest, US Airways, TWA, Midway and Independence.

He is a member of the legal advisory panel of the Aviation Working Group and is rated as a leader in the field of aviation law by Chambers and Partners.

Mr Kelleher is a member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York. He graduated from Fordham College and Columbia University School of Law.
