Chris P Kallos is a senior partner in the private funds group of Kirkland & Ellis LLP, where since 1994 he has focused on fund formations, spin-outs of private equity management teams and private company mergers and acquisitions. Mr Kallos has represented leading sponsors across the United States and internationally in forming over $40 billion of private equity funds ranging in size from under $50 million to over $10 billion. In addition, he has represented select limited partners in their fund investments. Representative fund sponsor clients include AEA Investors, Arsenal Capital, Dolphin Equity Partners, Gryphon Partners, Hammond, Kennedy, Whitney & Company Inc, Lake Capital, Madison Dearborn Partners, Paul Capital Partners, Sorenson Capital, Thayer|Hidden Creek Partners, Valor Equity Partners, Versa Capital Partners, Vestar Capital Partners and Water Street Healthcare Partners.

Mr Kallos also has served as an adjunct professor of law at Northwestern University Law School, teaching 'Structuring Transactions: Private Equity Funds & Transactions', and is an advisory board member for the University of Virginia's McIntire School of Commerce, where he focuses on the school's private equity research and education programmes.

Mr Kallos graduated with distinction from the University of Virginia's McIntire School of Commerce, and earned his JD cum laude from Harvard Law School. Prior to law school, he worked as a CPA with Price Waterhouse.
