Biography: Project Finance

Martin D Jacobson is a partner at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP in the firm's corporate department. He advises clients in project and infrastructure financing as well as structured equipment financings. He has represented sponsors, lenders, underwriters and other credit providers. Mr Jacobson has a broad range of experience involving the financing of infrastructure, industrial property and transportation equipment.

Mr Jacobson is the founding chair of the committee on project finance, City of New York Bar Association (1996-1999) and is a member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York and the American Bar Association. He is listed in The International Who's Who of Business Lawyers, The World's Leading Lawyers (Chambers Global), and in The Best Lawyers in America.

Mr Jacobson joined Simpson Thacher in 1979 and became a partner in 1984. He received his BS summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania in 1969, his MBA from New York University Stern School of Business in 1973 and his JD from the University of Chicago Law School in 1976.
