Biography: Real Estate

Robert Ivanhoe is uniformly recognised as one of the leading real estate attorneys in New York and throughout the United States. He chairs Greenberg Traurig's 200-plus-lawyer global real estate practice, co-chairs the REIT practice and chairs the New York office. Robert concentrates his practice in sophisticated real estate structures, joint ventures, financings, workouts, restructurings, and acquisitions and dispositions of all asset classes of real estate. He has represented numerous nationally recognised owner-developer and institutional lender-investor clients domestically and internationally for more than 30 years and is a distinguished author actively involved in real estate industry current affairs.

Robert is a member of The Real Estate Roundtable, the Urban Land Institute, the American College of Real Estate Lawyers, the executive committees of the American Friends of Rabin Medical Center and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, the real estate lawyers division of UJA-Federation and the recipient of the Israel Peace Medal from the real estate division of Israel Bonds. Robert is a contributing author to Euromoney's International Real Estate Finance Review and is quoted regularly by legal and business media including The Wall Street Journal. He regularly speaks at industry conferences and is a faculty member of the Practising Law Institute. He led the winning team for the 2010 Chambers USA Award for Excellence in Real Estate and is recognised in the top 10 New York 'Super Lawyers'.

Robert holds his JD from American University Washington College of Law and his BA degree from Johns Hopkins University.
