Kevin J Hochberg is a partner in Sidley's Chicago office, where his practice since 1986 has involved structured finance, asset securitisation, merger and acquisition financing, restructurings and bankruptcies, and other secured and unsecured lending transactions. Since 1991, his primary practice has involved representing issuers, monoline insurance companies, underwriters and investors in both public and private offerings of asset-backed securities, including commercial paper conduit transactions, Rule 144A and public offerings. His practice has covered a wide range of asset classes, including trade receivables, auto loans, equipment leases, rental car fleets, shipping containers, container chassis, railcars, utility stranded costs and relocation company receivables. Mr Hochberg is a member of the Chicago and American Bar Associations and the American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers. From 1990 to 1998, he represented the Commercial Finance Association in connection with the proposals for revising article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code and participated in the drafting sessions for revised article 9, which were jointly sponsored by the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws and the American Law Institute.
