Biography: Mergers and Acquisitions

Michael Greene is of counsel at A&L Goodbody and a former chairman and head of the corporate department of the firm. An experienced corporate law specialist, his areas of practice include mergers and acquisitions, inward investment, securities work and general corporate law with a particular focus on branches and subsidiaries of foreign corporations and non-Irish acquirers of companies situate in Ireland or their foreign holding companies.

As an active participant in the International Bar Association, the American Bar Association and other professional organisations, Michael has chaired and spoken at a many conferences, published many papers and contributed to various books on inward investment into Ireland, on mergers and acquisitions, on extraterritoriality and on corporate and securities law.

He has been ranked in Chambers Global Guides and included in various Guides to the World's Leading Lawyers, the Who's Who series of Leading Lawyers in the World and in the Legal Business Guides to European Legal Experts. He was elected as a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation in 2004. He also serves on the management board of the International Bar Association and the board of the World Services Group.
