Matters in which he has recently acted as an arbitrator include disputes under product development contracts, gas sales agreements, price adjustment clauses, long-term commodity supply contracts, international sales contracts and joint-venture agreements.
He also appeared as counsel in the leading English arbitration case of Lesotho Highlands Development Authority v Impreglio SpA [2005] UKHL 43, concerning whether arbitrators exceeded their powers so as to cause a serious irregularity affecting their award.
Ian Glick was formerly standing junior counsel to the Department of Trade and Industry in export credit cases, and is a former chairman of the Commercial Bar Association. He is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
