Pierre Frühling is a partner of Field Fisher Waterhouse. He works in French, English and Dutch.

His 16 years of leading practice at the Brussels Bar is recognised in Belgium and abroad and covers the whole range of air law, including regulatory and public air law, litigation, aircraft finance, competition and state aid. He has been involved in many prominent cases for airlines, financiers and insurers since the early nineties, which include for example major acquisitions, state aid cases, claims and air disasters and intricate regulatory issues (such as EASA matters, slots or noise and traffic rights), as well as corporate aviation schemes.

Mr Frühling has co-written the leading treatise on Belgian air law (2006) and published articles dealing with most aspects of EU air law, including in Air & Space Law and the Revue Française de Droit Aérien & Spatial. Presentations include several European Air Law Association and Leiden University International Institute of Air Law conferences. He leads the transportation energy telecommunications committee of the Brussels Bar (French) and is a member of the board of the Brussels Air Law Forum.

Mr Frühling received his law degree (1990, magna cum laude) from the University of Brussels, and was admitted to the Brussels Bar in 1992, after working in the cabinet of the secretary of state in charge of the European Union 1992 liberalisation programme, then with the European Commission's aviation directorate.
