Biography: Project Finance

Michael Fox (qualified as both an Israeli advocate and an English solicitor), specialises in national and cross-border transactions, including mergers and acquisitions and is one of the foremost experts in Israel on infrastructure project development and financing. In this capacity, Michael led the Israeli legal team advising Bank Hapoalim on its financing of the Cross-Israel Highway Project, Israel's largest BOT project to date, and advises British Gas on its energy projects in Israel. He has advised both lenders and concessionaires in transport, energy and desalination projects.

He was a founding partner of Fox & Gibbons (now absorbed in Denton Wilde Sapte), London as well as being the former Israeli representative of the International Bar Association and a former chairman of the Israel, Britain, and Commonwealth Association and the World Law Group.

Michael was a member of the expert panel on project finance at the Israel Prime Minister's Conference on Economic Affairs, 1998 and a guest speaker at the London Conference on Privatisation in Israel, which took place in October 1998. In 2003, Michael received the MBE award from the Queen for services to Anglo-Israel relations.
