Biography: Competition
Jaime Folguera is a partner in the competition department of Uría & Menéndez. His main areas of practice include merger control as well as authorisation and infrigement proceedings regarding cartels and other restrictive agreements, and abuses of dominant undertakings and state aid, carried out both by both Spanish and European authorities.
He is a member of the Madrid Bar Association, the International Bar Association, the AEDC, the FIDE, the AEDE, and the UIA.
Jaime graduated in 1978 from Madrid Law School. He studied for his diploma in European Community law between 1982 and 1984 and received his LLM from the Instituto de Empresa, Madrid, in 1983. He is a former senior adviser to the Foreign Affairs Ministry.
Jaime speaks English and French.
