Biography: Construction
Jennifer Fletcher has devoted her practice exclusively to construction industry issues for 23 years. She is a fellow of the American College of Construction Lawyers, a master in the Lumpkin Inn of Court, is rated AV by Martindale-Hubbell, and ranked "top-tier" by
Chambers USA.
Ms Fletcher has served as lead counsel in numerous jury trials, arbitrations, appellate arguments, mediations, and negotiations involving complex construction disputes. She has prosecuted and defended successfully many multi-million dollar construction disputes, through both judgements and settlements. She has also served as an arbitrator on the American Arbitration Construction Industry Panel for more than 15 years.
Ms Fletcher lectures and writes on construction industry topics, and is a perennial speaker at Federal Publications' Construction Contracts Year in Review. In 2005, she was a speaker at The Seminar Group's symposium on Construction Defects. She is co-author of GCM's copyrighted
Construction Law for Builders, Owners and Designers, and
Design Build Strategies, published by American Institute for Professional Training and Development.
Originally from Miami, Florida, Ms Fletcher is a member of both the Georgia and Florida Bars. She graduated with top honours from University of Florida in 1978 and cum laude from University of Georgia in 1981.
