Elisabeth focuses in corporate work, including major merger & acquisitions, divestitures and reorganisations, as well as negotiation and documentation of joint ventures, protection of minority rights and related issues. She also has significant expertise in the energy and natural resources area and has been active in advising in the area of investment arbitration as well.
Elisabeth has been listed as a leading practitioner in Venezuela in Chambers' The World's Leading Lawyers, in Global Counsel 3000, The International Who's Who of Oil and Gas Lawyers, Expert Guides of Legal Media Group, in Euromoney Plc, and other publications. She was ranked one of the top five lawyers under the age of 40 in Venezuela, and one of the top five female practitioners in Latin America, both by Latin Lawyer in 2006. Elisabeth has also been a member of Young President's Organization (YPO) since 2007.
She is currently vice president of the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators (AIPN). In addition, she is a member of the executive committee of the Harvard Law School Association.
Elisabeth is also on the Venezuelan official list of arbitrators to the ICC and on the CEDCA's list of arbitrators.
She is fluent in Spanish, English and has conversational French.

She received an award for Key Women in Energy in 2004 and was ranked among the top five lawyers under the age of 40 in Venezuela by Latin Lawyer.
She is a member of the Caracas and New York State Bar Associations, the International Bar Association, and is the regional director for Latin America of the AIPN. She is on the Venezuelan official list of arbitrators to the International Chamber of Commerce and CEDCA's list of arbitrators. She was the representative for Latin America and the Caribbean to the Harvard Law School Association Council (held in Cambridge for 2000-2004).
Elisabeth has been a speaker at various energy and natural resources conferences and the author of numerous articles and other publications. Since 1990, she has also been the national administrator for Venezuela of the Philip C Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition. Elisabeth received her law degree (cum laude) from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello in Caracas and her Masters in Law (LLM) from Harvard Law School. She was admitted to practise law in Venezuela in 1991 and New York in 1992.
She is fluent in Spanish, English and spoken French.
