Biography: Project Finance

Peter Doyle is a partner in the Sydney office of Mallesons Stephen Jaques, where he specialises in project finance. Peter has considerable experience in infrastructure projects, energy, resources, privatisations, social infrastructure PPPs, structured finance and banking in general. Peter has acted for sponsors and financiers in relation to a number of major infrastructure, energy and resources project financings and on several social infrastructure PPPs.

Peter was recently ranked as one of Australia's leading banking lawyers, and projects and energy lawyers by the Asia Pacific Legal 500 (2007/2008) and as one of Australia's leading project finance lawyers by Chambers Global - Guide to the World's Leading Lawyers (2008). He has also been ranked as one of Australia's leading lawyers in The International Who's Who of Business Lawyers 2008.

Peter acts for a range of clients including Macquarie Infrastructure Group, Macquarie Capital Advisers Limited, Westlink Motorway Group, Sydney Roads Group, Genesee & Wyoming Inc, International Power plc, Allco Finance Group Limited, National Australia Bank Limited, Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited, Deutsche Bank AG and Goldman Sachs & Co.

Peter has presented project finance papers at Australia Mining and Petroleum Law Association and Banking and Financial Services Law Association conferences in Australia. Peter holds degrees of Bachelor of Laws (Hons), Bachelor of Commerce and Master Laws, from the University of Melbourne.
