Biography: Product Liability

John D Dillow is a partner in the Seattle office of the law firm of Perkins Coie LLP, a full-service international firm with approximately 650 lawyers, where he heads up the firm's product liability practice group. Since graduating from Duke University School of Law in 1971, he has devoted his practice to defending manufacturers in product liability and class action litigation throughout the United States, as well as internationally.

Mr Dillow heads up the representation of The Boeing Company in all of its aviation product liability litigation worldwide. He has had extensive experience in many multidistrict litigation proceedings throughout the United States, including the MDL proceeding regarding the 9/11 crashes, the China Airlines 747 crash in Taipei, and the Flash Airlines crash in Egypt. He has also handled major satellite litigation and arbitrations, both in the United States and in France. In addition to his aviation product liability practice, Mr Dillow also acts as National Coordinating Counsel for all product liability matters for a major manufacturer of construction equipment.

Mr Dillow's product liability group also provides extensive product liability counselling and advice to manufacturers, as well as conducting product liability workshops for engineers and risk managers.

Perkins Coie LLP, a Seattle-based law firm with 15 offices in North America and Asia, is on the IFA supplier's counsel. The firm's clients include Fortune 500 companies as well as hundreds of other national and international companies, partnerships, and trade associations.
