Laura Devine is a principal of Laura Devine Solicitors. She is recognised as a leading UK immigration authority in the international community and is acclaimed by legal directories for her technical knowledge, commercial grasp, energy and enthusiasm.

She is head of a highly respected large niche immigration firm in the UK with an associated office in New York. Both offices provide UK and US immigration advice to a broad range of clients from multinational corporations to individuals. The 14 specialist lawyers, many of whom, like Laura, are dual qualified, are identified by legal directories as an "immensely capable team" distinguished by the "sheer number of first class practitioners", and are known for their technical expertise, friendly manner and exceptional client service.

Laura is the UK representative of the International Bar Association immigration committee and a member of the Law Society immigration committee. She is also a member of the Immigration Law Practitioners' Association, the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the New York State Bar, and a Fellow of the Centre for International Legal Studies.

The author of numerous publications, Laura is also an international speaker on immigration topics. She is a visiting lecturer at Hull University and Queen Mary's School of Law at the University of London.

Having qualified as an English solicitor in 1989, she attained an LLM in immigration from the London School of Economics in 1996 and qualified as a US attorney in 2004. She established the London immigration practices at Coopers & Lybrand (now PWC) in 1990 and Eversheds (London) in 1996 before establishing her own law firm in June 2003. She has visited over 70 countries for business and pleasure.
